On a warm June evening, the sun was beginning to set, casting a golden hue over the lawn at Merriweather Post Pavilion. The crowd stirred and almost instinctively started the cheer seconds before Dave Matthews and his band mates took the stage. Everyone found their places and lit the fuse on an incredible evening of music.
The sounds of Carter Beauford's drumming, Stefan Lessard’s familiar bass rhythms, and the unmistakable voice of Dave Matthews himself blended harmoniously, creating their signature sound. The setlist was a carefully curated journey through the band's extensive discography. They played hits like Grace Is Gone and So Much To Say, interspersed with deep cuts and a surprise cover of Brick House by The Commodores.
The crowd sang along to every word, creating a collective voice that echoed through the summer night. Instrumental jams and solos marked a familiar excellence associated with every DMB performance, keeping the audience on their toes and showcasing their signature style.
