Photos & words by: Nate Payne

For the second time since 2021, Grace Potter lit up the Shelburne Museum with an incredible weekend of music. Accompanied by longtime friend and fellow artist, Devon Gilfillian, the duo wove an unforgettable weekend of beautiful music memories together.

As the sunset, you could feel the crowd buzzing. Eagerly awaiting to be supercharged from the electric shock that is Grace Potter’s one-of-a-kind brand of rock and roll.

Each night Devon sent the audience soaring. The energy never dipped for a moment once he stepped up to the microphone. His soulful vocals and powerful rifts lit the fuse on two wild nights of music. He played a wide assortment of his music including the title track from his April 2023 album, Love You Anyway.

Both Friday and Saturday, Grace took the stage showcasing her new backdrop complete with mother road rug, gas pump, and Gremlin-adorned organ. The full scene of Mother Road was present for the audience’s journey through the desert.

Grace has one again reinvented her sound with Mother Road. Showcasing new bandmates and a new alter ego: Lady Vagabond. She commanded the stage and never let her foot off the gas. Grace Potter is full-tilt 24/7. Grace shared the stage with Devon both evenings to sing a stunning arrangement of I’d Rather Go Blind.
